Get to Know Me

An Aspen resident since 1995, Lex Tarumianz is a licensed Colorado real estate broker with Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s International Realty®. Lex was awarded the CFA designation (Chartered Financial Analyst) in 2010. He has sold over $1 Billion of real estate in his 12-year career with Sotheby’s International Realty® and continually ranks in the Top 100 nationally by Real Trends. A perennial top performer in the Aspen area, Lex has been involved in several record-breaking commercial and residential sales and has extensive knowledge within the market and the land use code.

Prior to joining Sotheby’s International Realty®, Lex was a Vice President with US Bank in Aspen serving in the roles of Commercial Banking Relationship Manager and later as a Portfolio Manager in the Trust and Asset Management Division. He was previously the Director of Sales and Marketing at The Gant Condominiums and served as a Regional Director of Revenue Management with Destination Hotels and Resorts.

Lex is a member of the CFA Society of Colorado and currently serves on the Building and Grounds Committee for the Aspen Country Day School. He has advised on several major Aspen real estate developments and has been involved in analysis and advisory work for The Aspen Skiing Company, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the City of Aspen. Tarumianz previously served on the Pitkin County Financial Advisory Board, the City of Aspen Budget Task Force, and the Board of Directors of Roaring Fork Leadership.

Lex graduated from the University of North Carolina with a B.A. in English.
